The Two day Seminar on Internet of Things (IoT) will bring out presentations on the Enabling Technologies for the IoT, Shaping of the Future Markets driven by the IoT, the Emerging Challenges and the Opportunities for the Developing World. The seminar will touch upon all of these fascinating issues and discuss harnessing the IoT evolution for societal benefit and its economic impact. The role of industry, academia and research centers, as contributors to the area, will be discussed. And finally, it will conclude with, what is needed for the broad based adoption and use of IoT and how our lifestyles may be transformed over the next decade.
“Residual Stress : Key Challenges and Remedies“ is being organized by National Design and Research Forum, R&D wing of The Institution of Engineers (India), Central Power Research Institute, RVCE, SaIT, SVIT, IWS, SFA, IIPE and IISE at Silver Jubilee Auditorium, CPRI, Bangalore during 21-22 January 2016.
The seminar serves as a platform for scientists, researchers, students, engineers from manufacturing/production or quality control departments of various industries, education and R&D Institutions to discuss challenges pertaining to residual stress. The seminar primarily focuses on advances in technology and methods of measurements involved in prediction, evaluation, control, implication, simulation & modelling of residual stress and its application in engineering components. Influence of residual stress on material distortion, material response for various loading conditions, damage initiation, crack propagation, component performance, life assessment and failure will be addressed and discussed
